Position Summary The Academic Marketing Associate collaborates across all titles at NYU Press, a leading publisher of cutting-edge scholarship focused on race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, and key disciplines such as American Studies, Sociology, Criminology, Anthropology, Religion, Law, Politics, and History. Strategizes and implements academic marketing campaigns, including course adoption campaigns and eNewsletters. Conducts academic market research for graduate and undergraduate level courses and communicates effectively with potential course adopters and interested academics about a wide range of titles. Qualifications Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Required Experience: 2+ years Prior publishing experience Preferred Experience: 1+ years Academic marketing experience preferred Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience creating and implementing academic/higher education marketing campaigns. Knowledgeable about social media for marketing purposes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and WordPress. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management. Ability to set priorities while under pressure. Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrates a passion for academic publishing, excels in writing and communication, pays close attention to detail, and adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong written communication skills. Ability to travel to academic conferences as needed. Familiarity with BiblioSuite. Familiarity with Google Suite Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
