Process Engineering Intern - Manufacturing

The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Process Engineering Intern will support the fiber spinning and bundling processes in Air Liquide's Newport, DE location.

  • Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices / procedures.

  • Assist in the monitoring, controlling, troubleshooting and evaluating the processes of the fiber spinning and bundling processes, under the direction of the Product Platform Manager.

  • Evaluate consistency of work instructions with day-to-day practices and recommend improvements

  • Optimize and aid in debottlenecking of current processes.

  • Assist with commissioning and validation of new equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program from a 4 year university

  • 3.0 minimum gpa

  • Prior experience as an intern or co-op in a technical/engineering environment

  • Strong time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enjoys working with their hands

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Platform
