Overview:

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director, Shared Analytic Services (Remote)!

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is 100% remote.

Candidates must have a current residence in one of the following states or be willing to relocate:

Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington State, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming

Standard Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET).

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of healthcare management experience required
  • A Bachelor's level degree is required
  • Leadership experience is required
  • 5 years of analytics experience is required
  • Experience in BI tools and BI tools delivery is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred

Position Overview:

As the Director, Shared Analytic Services, you will lead the technical hub of Sentara's Enterprise Analytics team. This team acts as Product Owner of Sentara's analytic data environment and partners with the Enterprise Data Services team to ensure that data products evolve to meet the changing needs of the company.
This team also helps to develop and support standards around analytic toolsets, development pipelines, efficient development methodologies, and deployment, including supporting and governing Sentara's Analytics Catalog as a one-stop shop for access to reporting, dashboarding, and analytic applications.
In addition, this team provides capacity to advise and execute on advanced dashboard development, taking on larger scale projects that cross business domains such as Executive Dashboarding and other integrated reporting.
The ideal applicant must have a good balance of healthcare experience and technical understanding of analytic toolsets like PowerBI and Tableau, including how to optimize the technical environment to get the most performance and value out of those toolsets. Deep understanding of data architecture in the context of analytic work is highly preferred.
Other areas of experience that are accretive to the role include:
Understanding of the Epic EMR and analytic toolsets
Understanding of healthcare payer claims systems and electronic health data interchange
Understanding of population health and value-based care concepts, especially in terms of data inputs and manipulation
Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies
As a key leader operating at the intersection of multiple teams, a collaborative posture and consultative mindset are critical to success in this role.
