Job responsibilities
* May assist with supervision of contract associate staff, including training and guidance
* Completes study-end cost reconciliation, as needed
* Reviews monthly project invoicing detail to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
* Reviews contracts and change order documentation vs. internal tracking (e.g., Budget, Cash Position Statement, Payment Schedule) to identify inconsistencies in budget amounts
* Communicates, resolves, and tracks budget-related questions between Finance Operations and Project Managers
* Provides Project Managers with monthly financial management reports
* Updates material for project financial review meetings with Project Managers
* Assists Project Managers with project budget performance analysis and costing related queries
* Facilitate review of Scope of Work (SOW) document and associated costing by working with internal and external customers to amend SOWs and Purchase Orders (PO) as needed
* Oversee financial execution of PO
* Raise and facilitate electronic commitment request (PO)
* Monitor SOW throughout study and amend as appropriate, liaising with supplier and internal customers
* Review, investigate, and resolve outstanding supplier invoices
* Support the creation of client reports as required (e g metrics report)
* May lead special projects
Qualifications
What we're looking for
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, business or financial discipline, or science related field; in lieu of degree, a professional accountancy qualification will be considered
* Significant relevant experience in project accounting or financial analysis, preferably in support of clinical trials or other complex projects
* Some biopharmaceutical clinical research experience
* Demonstrated competence in spreadsheet development and use
* Good verbal and written language skills
* Able to work autonomously

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $71,820 to $139,600 (for US only). The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
