ROLE OVERVIEW Goldman Sachs FICC Legal is looking for an attorney to provide legal coverage related to certain FICC financing transactions, including asset-backed lending, fund finance and related financing transactions. The attorney will have primary responsibility for reviewing loan, security and other financing documentation to ensure such documentation meets the expectations of applicable stakeholders related to collateral packages, commercial terms and industry standards. Additional responsibilities will include analysis of regulations and related advocacy including working with industry groups on global regulatory changes affecting financing transactions. The attorney would be part of the global FICC Legal team which is part of the broader Global Banking & Markets Legal team and provides ongoing support on behalf of all of the trading, capital raising and other activities of Goldman Sachs' Global Banking & Markets franchise. RESPONSIBILITIES Documentation Reviews - Assist with developing standard financing documentation and other collateral documentation language and addressing questions that arise under such documentation. Regulatory Analysis and Compliance - Help analyze new and proposed rules and ensure that any financing transactions are in compliance with regulatory and capital rules QUALIFICATIONS: J.D. from an accredited law school and NY bar membership in good standing At least 5 years related legal experience post-JD in a law firm, fund, asset management firm and/or investment bank Strong substantive knowledge of and significant experience in derivatives, financing and regulatory matters High level of initiative, integrity, organizational and commercial instincts Ability to identify issues, articulate legal arguments and present to senior stakeholders Diligent, hard-working and poised under pressure Strong written and verbal communications skills ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow. Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $170000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
