The Associate Fabricator workers prepare and position parts, ensure parts fit within our
tolerances, utilize computer aided design CAD drawings and 1:1's to verify all
chair dimensions prior to weld, while following applicable work instructions
and processes set in place.

Our Fabrication department in Pasco, WA is now looking for a Associate Fabricator.

Key Tasks

• Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
  
• Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
  
• Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision.
  
• Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions.
  
• Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
  
• Ensuring all the required parts for assembly are present.
  
• Marking cutting lines on material.
  
• Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
  
• Typically, assignments are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment.
  
• Maintain a clean, safe work area, and awareness of surroundings.
  
• Work as a team and maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization.
  
• Support all quality, safety, and environmental programs.
  
• Basic understanding reading CAD file blueprints and 1:1's.
  
• Fabricate and assemble parts according to work instructions for all work assignments.
  
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  
• Other duties and responsibilities may change

Your Background

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  
• 0-2 years of experience.
  
• Proficiency in the English language (written and oral)
  
• Basic math skills.
  
• Typically
  requires a general education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.
• One year of manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time.
  
• Team player.
  
• Good dexterity.
  
• Proficiency operating heavy machinery, preferred.
  
• Reliable.
  
• Strong communication skills.
  
• Time management.
  
• Attention to detail.
  
• Desire to learn/grow/develop

Additional Information

• Salary: Hourly rate of $18.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
  
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm with OT possibilities.
  
• Vacation or PTO: Bi-weekly accrual of PTO adding up to 136 hours in the calendar year.
  
• Sick Time: Per Washington State law, one hour of sick time for every 40 hours worked, with the ability to roll over up to 40 hours into the next year.
  
• Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefit options beginning first day of employment.
  
• Long Term Disability and Company Provided Life Insurance Policy for all employees
  
• 401K eligibility on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment. Permobil offers Safe Harbor matching, with immediate vesting.
