Who is BlueRock? What Are We Doing? Our foundational science harnesses the ability to create and then direct the differentiation of universal pluripotent stem cells into authentic, functional cells that can be used as allogeneic cellular therapies to treat a broad array of diseases. We can also further engineer these cells, enabling them to produce enzymes, antibodies, and other proteins for additional therapeutic benefit. The Intellectual Property Intern will assist with a variety of IP related projects related to BlueRock's clinical pipeline and R&D programs/platforms. The role involves working closely with the entire IP/Legal team and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate, merging scientific knowledge with cutting edge legal issues in the biopharma space. This role is for a 3-month internship. Responsibilities Working closely with the IP team, perform comprehensive searches for 3rd party IP related to regenerative medicines Working closely with the IP team and the Competitive Intelligence team, perform comprehensive searches for 3rd party publications related to regenerative medicines Researching relevant caselaw and presenting to the IP/Legal team on issues related to BlueRock's programs and platforms With guidance from senior members of the legal team and in conjunction with the Development team, assess regulatory communications with existing partners and assist with redactions to generate documents that can be shared internally with BlueRockers. Qualifications & Requirements Currently enrolled in law school and have completed the first year Must have an undergraduate degree, and preferably an advanced degree, in the life sciences or chemical sciences and have an understanding of BlueRock's technologies Excellent organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Transportation to Cambridge, MA if the role is in-person, or the ability to participate in daily videoconferences if remote Must be 18 years of age by the start of the internship.
