The Salvation Army Kroc Center of Green Bay is looking to add energetic, creative, and enthusiastic staff to help lead our Summer Camp teams. As a Lead Camp Counselor not only will you be building your resume with universal skills that benefit any career path like, teamwork, leadership, public speaking, CPR, and child management techniques, you will also serve as a leader and role model for campers and your team. Lead Counselors play a key role in planning and delivering a fun and organized camp experience for children aged 5-12! Lead Counselors prepare and lead exciting activities like arts, sports, and educational games while ensuring a safe environment. They also help with communication to parents as needed, manage daily rosters, and take on leadership responsibilities. From coordinating activities to maintaining the camp's appearance, Camp Leads are integral in making the camp run smoothly. The hourly wage for Lead Counselors is $16.53 for a 1st year lead with additional pay for 2+ year Lead Counselors. Kroc Summer Camp is an entirely outdoor camp experience. JOB OBJECTIVE The Summer Camp Lead Counselor works directly with children and organizes, prepares, and leads general activities such as arts and crafts, sports, educational, and other age-appropriate activities. Under direct supervision, per state requirements, is responsible for the safety and well-being of a small group of children aged 5 - 12 by ensuring appropriate behavior and that the group is in the proper location at all times.
