Position Title: Quality Technician
Wage: $22.00 - $23.50/Hour Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm or 10:00pm - 6:00am QPS Employment Group is looking for Quality Control Technicians for our customer in Des Plaines, IL. They are currently looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join the team and help ensure that all of the products meet the highest standards of quality. Quality Technician Responsibilities: - Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, other measuring devices and "samples" to ensure quality-finished product meets specifications - Audit production and skids on line, checking line speed - Read product drawings, specification sheet and shop orders to determine packaging and material requirements - Inspect at start-up and approve for continued production - Log processing parameters and equipment used - Enter extrusion data into hot sheet - Check color with spectrophotometer - Check color let down % enter in to access - Maintain barcode printers and label supplies - Verify calipers and tape measures and enter results into calibration program - Issue hold tickets when part quality is not to job specification Requirements For Quality Technician: - Good measuring skills using calipers, comparator, Romidot, tape measure, steel rule, durometer tester, Gardner impactor tester, light box - visual color and appearance comparison, thickness gages, plug gages, pin gages, drop indicator, surface plate & force gages QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
