Role: AI (Artificial Intelligence) Project Manager Duration: 6 months (Potential for extension) Location: Chicago, IL Role is hybrid and resource needs to be based in the Chicago area. Expectation is resource is in the office three days a week - downtown Chicago. Job Description It's an exciting time to join our team. We are a Global Airline and are seeking a Technical Project Manager capable of successfully organizing multiple projects from concept to completion in our Digital Servicing (AI-Artificial Intelligence) space. We have a roadmap to deliver a variety of new technology projects to further our ability to provide self- service for our customers. We need an exceptional, experienced leader who can interact with senior stakeholders but also manage the all the details needed to deliver the project on-time and on-budget. Strong vendor management, team leadership, relationship management and time management skills are necessary to excel in this position. This is a very busy environment so important that resource brings a lot of energy to the role. Other PM Responsibilities include: Level 3 or 4 / Senior - 8+ years' experience Oversee multiple projects and possibly multiple vendors, ensuring program goals are reached Oversee budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.Ability to understand how business benefits are calculated and tracked is needed. Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to drive AI project execution, ensuring continuous keeping in mind that some of our practices are waterfall in nature. Work closely with program manager, project application managers, cross-functional teams, and vendor scrummasters to plan and develop deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and roadmap for new initiatives.In some cases, PM may be required to lead smaller initiatives or fill in as scrummaster until one is assigned by a vendor. PM will be the key conduit to the business so the ability to synthesize information and report back on learnings is key.Excellent written and verbal communication is needed. Technology & Innovation: Stay updated with AI advancements and best practices to drive innovation within projects. Ensure AI projects align with industry standards, ethical considerations, and data privacy regulations. Metrics based delivery experience - Expect resource to drive the development of metrics and report weekly on progress. Continuous improvement mindset is needed - keeping the team mindful of opportunities for improvement Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance Identify key requirements needed from business, cross-functional teams and external vendors Work with other project manager and scrummasters to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects Ensure clear communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Business, or a related field. 8+ years in project management, ideally in AI, software development, or data-driven projects. Experience leading AI/ML or data science projects, especially those involving large-scale models or automation. Hands-on experience working with AI engineers, data scientists, and software developers. Exposure to Gen AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock) Fair amount of Jira proficiency including dashboarding and creating filters Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred Familiarity with Global Contact Centers technology Understanding of Infrastructure (Cloud) and DevOps helpful Smartsheets experience preferred but not required.
