About the role:

As a Senior Mechanical Nuclear Fuel Engineer, you will be responsible for advanced mechanical design activities using established Westinghouse design methodologies to develop new nuclear fuel products and enhancements of existing fuel products.

You will report to the Manager - Structures and Fuel. This is a hybrid work schedule, located in Cranberry Township, PA.


Key Responsibilities:

* Work in multifaceted teams with focus on new product development or issue resolution.

* Lead testing activities for nuclear fuel and related components. This includes development of test plans, testing oversight, compilation and processing of test data, and performing design analysis based on test data output.

* Perform design changes to support manufacturability improvements.

* Assess impacts of manufacturing and quality upsets on nuclear fuel performance to support product disposition.

* Provide coaching, mentoring, and support for technical development of team members.

* Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to support Westinghouse business activities


Qualifications:

* BS in Mechanical Engineering (or comparable Engineering degree) required

* Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience

* Experience working with internal and external groups.

* Experience in SolidWorks, Ansys, and MATLAB helpful
