Supplier Relationship Director

Overview of the Position:

The Supplier Relationship Director will be accountable for leading strategic alignment and development with vendors. Critical elements will include product development, vendor relationships, customer support, strategic expediting, and continuous improvement initiatives across our business. This is a highly visible role that will provide the successful candidate with extensive career development opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enhancing Aero-Glen's vendor engagement by establishing / maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
• Establishing development opportunities with vendors for new and existing product lines by identifying areas of growth through evaluating strategic plans assessing capacity, market gaps, customer interest, etc.
• Grow Aero-Glen's sales through stronger vendor relationships and targeted product offerings.
• Key member of the Aero-Glen leadership team supporting business needs through project management focused on continuous improvement opportunities for purchasing, inventory management, planning and logistics.
• Maintain strict adherence to Aerospace & Defense customer flow down sourcing requirements
• Support supplier performance, quality, and delivery.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership on short- and long-range S&OP strategy
• Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for assigned accounts as required
• Handle Federal Contract Information (FCI) as required

• Aerospace vendor relationship and product knowledge experience
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives
• Demonstrated ability to identify process issues and drive process improvement
• Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders
• Organizational skills to manage transactional details
• Exceptional Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Access, PowerPoint Presentations)

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or another related field. 5+ years of progressive, broad-based supply chain experience. 2+ years of leadership / team management experience in supply chain.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
