JOB TITLE:Business Engagement & Technology Principal Engineer

DUTIES:

  • Perform complex technical activities related to the design and administration of the ServiceNow platform.

  • Understand business partners' needs and vision to deliver ServiceNow solutions to support and enable their goals and objectives.

  • Lead requirements/user stories discussions (or partners with analysts), performs gap analyses, recommends solution designs, configures existing and/or new ServiceNow modules, develops custom applications, and builds integrations.

  • Manage projects including requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, rollout, and Hypercare, ensuring hand-off to support team post-delivery while remaining a subject matter expert and escalation point.

  • Advise business partners on all key technical decisions during project delivery.

  • Perform day to day support and administration of the ServiceNow platform to maintain compliance with Vertex procedures (e.g., Change Management) and SOX/GxP regulatory requirements.

  • Install, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain functionality of the ServiceNow platform leveraging experience to address more technically complex problems.

  • Collaborate with implementation partners and on/off-shore managed services team on projects, enhancements, and maintenance activities.

  • Contribute to the selection and application of technical standards for the ServiceNow platform.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and develops proposed solutions to drive platform expansion and adoption.

  • Act as the Technical Lead/SME for the Vertex's ServiceNow footprint including HR Service Delivery (Portals, Case and Knowledge Management, Onboarding & Transitions), IT Service Management (Incident, Request, Knowledge, etc.), Healthcare and Life Sciences (Vaccination Management), Custom Apps (External Communications Review System (ECRS), COVID-19 Response, Integrated Change Control (ICC), Recognition Management (VOCAP), and GHEM Request), Performance Analytics, and integrations.

Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

REQUIREMENTS:Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. Will accept a bachelor's equivalent based on any combination of education, experience or credentials as determined by a professional evaluation service. Must also have 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Core Technology Principal Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

Implementing and supporting ServiceNow core modules, custom apps, and integrations. Leading software analysis, design, architecture, and delivery of ServiceNow solutions. Utilizing programming languages required for use on ServiceNow including JavaScript, PowerShell, Angular/Bootstrap, XML, HTML, CSS, and Jelly Script. Building and deploying ServiceNow integrations with Integration Hub, Flow Designer, SOAP, Restful Web Services, file-based transfers using MID servers, and custom integration methods. Working in SOX, GxP, and regulated environments for ServiceNow solution delivery and ongoing maintenance.
