DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the four Senior Centers in Potter County. Your responsibilities encompass the execution of mandated programs; preparation of financial and statistical reports; development of the monthly menu and site bulletin; completion of a Food Safety Certification course; and overseeing the Farm Market Nutrition Program. Additionally, you will engage in basic data entry within the statewide information system, ensuring the accuracy and currency of all files. You will support the county centers in the creation, planning, and execution of events, fundraisers, and the effective use of grants. Your efforts will contribute to the efficient operation and enhancement of services provided to the community. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require overtime and travel after-hours.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a staff assistant to an administrative officer or as a technician in a staff service of a large organization; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Potter County. If no eligible candidates who live within Potter County apply for this position, candidates who reside in McKean, Tioga, Cameron, Elk, Clinton or Lycoming counties will be considered. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties will be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
