YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE Position Description: The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Program Support Specialist will provide high-level administrative and program support to the IPT and leadership within the Radar Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division (PHD), Virginia Beach Detachment. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of radar systems development and testing projects. The LCS Program Support Specialist will manage schedules, coordinate meetings, facilitate communication across teams, and assist with reporting and documentation management. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct support to the IPT lead in overseeing site operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and assisting with strategic planning and execution.
- Act as a key liaison between the IPT and internal/external stakeholders, facilitating communication, preparing reports, and ensuring timely follow-ups on critical issues.
- Monitor performance, provide virtual leadership, and implement best practices to maintain productivity and engagement in a hybrid or fully remote environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of site policies, operational procedures, and strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and site performance.
- Oversee and support administrative functions, including document preparation, record-keeping, and data management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables related to site operations, providing regular updates and identifying potential risks or bottlenecks.
- Assist in budget tracking, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure efficient site management and adherence to fiscal constraints.
- Support personnel management activities, including staffing coordination, performance tracking, and employee engagement initiatives to maintain a productive workforce.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting discussions, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through on decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and security protocols, maintaining accurate documentation for audits and oversight reviews.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) roles and responsibilities
- Knowledge of NAVSEA Warfare Center roles and responsibilities
- Experience briefing senior leaders on program plans and status.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance/modernization processes and organizational responsibilities
- Possess excellent leadership skills and ability to work with team members and subcontractors from various technical and logistics disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and common office software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and professional correspondence.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Other Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum Secret Clearance
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an executive administrative support role, ideally within a defense, government contracting, or technical environment.
