Job Summary:

As the IT Project Manager III at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for leading, overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects within scope, quality, time and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic management to deliver business value. You will establish and maintain collaborative partnerships and utilize consistent project management practices to produce quality deliverables for the full life cycle of a project from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, to closing. Project Manager team members implement sustainable projects to ensure and position Endeavor Health for operational success in the future, with a focus on providing safe, seamless, and personal care. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to remain updated on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.

This role will support projects across our Infrastructure, incorporating security, email platforms, networks and connectivity, data centers, etc. to build a secure, standardized and resilient foundation.

This is the third tier in the three level Project Manager Ladder. Projects are typically large and complex in characteristics or enterprise wide. Projects are typically highly cross functional, high priority and of significant cost and risk to the organization. Manages projects independently. May manage a portfolio of related projects and plays a central role in planning, communication and reporting overall performance. Progression is typically restricted based on business requirements and limited to individuals transitioning from technical to staff management.

What you will do:

  • Assists in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new equipment and/or software applications. Supports security, contracting and capital discussions (if required) for implementation.Responsible for managing all aspects of a project over the project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close) in support of the organization's strategic objectives and ongoing operations. Develops project tasks, milestones and deliverables using a standard set of tools to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Facilitates discussions for workflows and operational processes to be redesigned (or standardized) and works with project teams to update departmental policies and procedures to reflect changes.
  • Collaborates with leadership to determine and document project objectives, scope, timeline, approach, resource requirements, budget and stakeholders needed for successful execution. If managing a program or portfolio of work, may routinely spend a portion of time facilitating governance meetings with key stakeholders to collect status as well as ensure prioritization and alignment of projects and resources. Compiles and summarizes details to report on key metrics for senior leadership.
  • Defines team member roles and responsibilities and may perform management of external consultants and vendor resources. Organizes and conducts regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitors and communicates progress through routine status reports to all levels of the organization. Maintains proper project documentation ensuring it is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Identifies risks and performs mitigation planning, escalating as necessary. Follows change control procedures. Issue management includes tracking, assignment, and closeout of all project issues.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Has sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving.
  • Assists in the development of the communication strategy, training strategy and organizational change management plans. Works closely with leadership in preparation for turnover of implemented system to day-to-day support and develops go-live plan.
  • Identifies metrics to be used to evaluate project success. Documents and agrees upon deliverables acceptance criteria. Prepares and presents post project review.
  • Leads, directs, and motivates teams effectively and manages through influence, even when not the subject matter expert. Supports team building, recognition, and celebration as important aspects of any project. Promotes a creative environment and functions as a change agent.
  • Pursues self-development by sharing information, listening, and responding to performance feedback, and seeking guidance from other project managers. Proactively seeks to continuously improve the PMO, project management processes and tools within the toolkit to be in alignment with applicable PMI standards.
  • May provide mentoring and/or training in the discipline of project management to the organization and assist in onboarding of new project managers.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in relevant field required (Master's degree preferred)
  • Certification: Preferred Certified Professional in Healthcare and Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL certification(s), SCRUM Master (CSM), and/or Lean or Six Sigma
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in project management
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
  • Three (3) or more years healthcare operations experience.
  • Working with waterfall or agile project management methodologies.
  • Exposure to technology and infrastructure project management.
  • Experience with Epic applications.
  • Experience with compliance or regulatory governance programs.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, troubleshooting and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Experience working with tech experts and higher level experts both within the organization and outside (vendors).
  • Self-motivated: given appropriate direction for goals, must be able to work autonomously in a sometimes ambiguous and changing environment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple parallel assignments, prioritize work, operate under tight deadlines, and problem solve.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Broad-based knowledge of integrated healthcare systems, technologies and platforms (including servers, network and telecom).
  • Solid experience in managing projects which involve business to system and/or system to system integration.
  • Able to translate business needs into technical specifications. Very high level of analytical ability.
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
