Responsibilities

As an Adult IOP Therapist at PrairieCare, you'll be at the heart of our mission to support individuals and families on their mental health journeys! Get ready to assess, plan, and provide therapy that truly makes an impact - all while collaborating with an amazing team of professionals.

What You'll Do:

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely within an interdisciplinary treatment team, partnering with patients to create a supportive and empowering environment.
  • Tailored Therapy: Assess, plan, and implement psychotherapeutic services, ensuring each individual receives the care they need.
  • Comprehensive Care: Provide a wide array of therapy services, including individual and family psychotherapy, while facilitating engaging process groups that foster connection and growth.
  • Empower Growth: Enhance the functioning of patients and their families, helping them prepare for the next chapter in their mental health journey.
  • Engage in Enriching Opportunities: Participate in clinical projects and experiences that celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and equity, making your work not just a job, but a meaningful journey.
  • Mentor Future Leaders: If qualified, you'll have the chance to supervise Master's level interns or associate therapists, guiding them as they embark on their own paths in mental health.

Qualifications

Required for the Therapist role:

  • Master's degree in social sciences with a current license in the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • In good standing with the professional licensing board

Required for the Associate Therapist role:

  • Education: A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related therapeutic field is required. If your degree is in a closely related field and you are pursuing an LPCC, you must demonstrate that your education meets the coursework requirements of the license, either through your own comparison or an unofficial review with the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
    * Licensure: Candidates must be licensed or actively pursuing clinical licensure in the state of Minnesota. This includes receiving clinical supervision and counting clinical supervision hours.

Preferred for both roles:

  • Clinical mental health experience with variety of ages and clinical presentations is preferred
  • Experience in intensive psychiatric healthcare settings preferred but not required; we provide extensive training as needed
  • Ability to maintain required malpractice insurance
  • Ability to effectively, professionally, and efficiently communicate in written and verbal form
  • Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle potentially emergency situations
  • Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances
  • After training, be able to support management of disruptive patients
  • Knowledge of regulatory standard governing care delivery and operations

Pay range for the Therapist position is $63,000 to $85,000 depending on education and experience.

Pay range for the Associate Therapist position is $56,000 to $66,000 depending on education and experience.
