Summary:

This position will offer the intern the opportunity to work on various education and process improvement projects as well as conduct research which will be used in creating and implementing new educational opportunities within the system and the community. Contributes to the care of the environment by maintaining work areas; assists with light housekeeping tasks as needed. Utilizes computer system as needed for information and to complete tasks. Maintains confidentiality of patient information and the business of hospital/facility and CHRISTUS Spohn Health System. Interacts with customers, which may include patients, physicians, co-workers, and visitors, in a manner which exemplifies CHRISTUS Spohn Health System Mission and Core Values. Knowledgeable of and adheres to CHRISTUS Spohn Health System and department procedures and policies. Adapts easily to changes in work assignment and environment. Willing to assume additional responsibilities. Performs basic tasks in a timely manner with minimum guidance and supervision.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline overlooking Corpus Christi Bay is the largest and foremost acute care medical facility in the region, with a full range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services in cardiac, cancer, and stroke care. It is the leading emergency facility in the area with a Level II Trauma Center in the Coastal Bend, staffed with physicians and nurses specially trained in emergency services.


  • The Pavilion and North Tower house a state-of-the-art emergency department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and surgical suites
