Cloud Engineering Intern

Juniper is looking for an intern to work in its Cloud Engineering team. The team is responsible for development of Cloud-based Infrastructure and addressing challenging business critical use cases on this infrastructure. We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated, fast-learning self-starter to join the team for the summer 2025 session. The candidate will help with special projects while gaining a unique perspective on building cloud-based infrastructure and application of cloud engineering techniques in the networking domain.

The right candidate has:



  • A strong interest in cloud engineering and related development, exemplified by a solid grasp of concepts in:
  • Databases like Relational Databases, No-SQL Databases
  • Strong understanding of ElasticSearch and Kafka
  • Strong fundamental computer science skills, e.g. algorithms, distributed systems, data structures, object-oriented programming, including:
  • Strong programming and debugging skills in Python, Go, Java
  • Familiarity with Linux, C/C++
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Familiarity with common Unit testing frameworks like Junit / Mockito/ Go test package and be able to write test suites in Go / Python/Java
  • Familiar with SDLC
  • And is pursuing an BS/MS degree in CS, CE, or EE with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.

Minimum Salary: $84,000.80

Maximum Salary:$120,750.55

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $84,000.80 and $120,750.55/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
