We are seeking an experienced Lead Medical Biller to oversee and coordinate medical billing operations for dental services. This role also serves as the key point of contact between PPO Profits RCM dental billers and their clients, ensuring seamless communication, accurate claims processing, and compliance with insurance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental and medical billing, leadership experience, and exceptional problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end medical billing process for dental services, ensuring accuracy and timely claim submission.
- Review and verify patient insurance information, coding, and documentation for compliance.
- Manage claim denials, appeals, and resubmissions to maximize reimbursement.
- Stay updated on industry changes, insurance clinical criteria, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CDT, CPT, ICD-10).
- Serve as the main point of contact between dental offices, billers, and insurance companies.
- Communicate with clients to address billing concerns, updates, and training needs.
- Collaborate with the billing team to improve processes and ensure high-quality service.
- Provide guidance and training to medical/dental billers on best practices and procedural updates.
- Build and lead a team of medical billers, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct regular audits and quality control checks on medical billing activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the revenue cycle management process.
- Generate reports on billing performance, collections, and outstanding claims for management review.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in medical & dental insurance billing with expertise in medical-dental cross-coding.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification, medical claim submission, and coding (CDT, CPT, ICD-10).
- 2-3 years (preferred): Experience as an office manager or leadership role within a dental practice.
