Team Leader - Open Access

We're looking for passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder Clinicians to help lead our Open Access team and make a real difference in our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC).

This position works within a team of Counselors, Peers, Nurses, Case Managers and Mental Health and Substance Use treatment professionals, providing initial assessments of children and adults seeking behavioral health services.

Supervision required for NYS license/certification is provided at no cost to Helio Health employees.

Position Details:

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
• Pay: $68.000 per year to $77,000 per year

In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, this position is eligible for a Sign-On incentive up to $8,000 depending upon licensure!

• Assists with coordination of daily workflow to ensure clients seeking services meet with appropriate parties.
• Assists with staff training and development.
• Maintains and provides supervision of program staff. Related duties include:
  • Assuring continuing process improvement and staff development
  • Continuous staff performance evaluation and supervision.
  • Continuous auditing of electronic medical records.
• Implements quality improvement activities to include:
  • Recommends program standards and measurements for continuous quality improvement.
  • Monitors provision of services.
  • Evaluates program and identifies strengths/weaknesses.
  • Manages problem resolution and makes suggestions for process improvement.
• Assist Program Director and Service Director with fiscal program oversight and budget development.
• Participates in management and administrative committees as assigned.
• Assures program record and documentation compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
• Represents agency to the community and collaborate with internal/external programs.
• Assist in training staff and student interns.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Licenses: LCSW or LMHC with Diagnostic Privilege (or obtained within 6 months of hire) required. LMSW considered.
• Requirements: Valid New York State Driver License and reliable transportation
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in the Human Services field working with co-occurring MH/SUD disorders, high-risk populations, or individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) preferred. Minimum of 1 year supervising clinical staff (CASAC, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC (Limited Permit (LP) Licenses)
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel), EHR/EMRs (e.g., Avatar, Netsmart, Epic), and Health Monitoring Systems (e.g., OASAS CDS, HealthEConnections, PSYCKES)
• Education: Master's degree required
