THE JOB:

The Associate Director of Catering - Commission provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership for luxury meeting and event operations, specializing in catering, group dining, hospitalities, and weddings. This role is responsible for strategic planning, financial performance, and staff development to ensure the success of catering services while maintaining the property's competitive edge in the market.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Leads Catering, Group Dining, Hospitality, and Wedding Sales teams through coaching, communication, and collaboration with Convention Services, Sales, and Banquets to ensure department success.

  • Oversees financial performance, forecasting, and budgeting, aligning with strategic goals to maximize revenue through menu development and pricing strategies.

  • Drives sales strategy, optimizes space availability, negotiates contracts, and cultivates client relationships.

  • Enhances brand standards by curating innovative F&B offerings and supporting sustainability initiatives.

  • Maintains guest service excellence, refines service standards, and fosters a high-performing team through hiring, training, and succession planning.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • At least four years of experience in Catering, Conventions, or Banquets, preferably in a luxury resort setting.

  • Skilled in budget development, staff planning, and equipment procurement, with expert knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service, including menu development.

  • Adaptable to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a proven ability to lead teams, drive revenue, and enhance guest experiences in a high-paced, luxury hospitality environment.
