JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Human Resources is seeking temporary HR Assistants to assist our HR Data & Onboarding team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn Workday and gain exposure to Human Resources processes. This position will work up to 40 hours a week and will support either HR Shared Services functions. Responsibilities may include: * Administer employee onboarding activities: * Collecting, coordinating, and processing appropriate employment documentation * Provide excellent customer service via telephone and email * Process monthly transactions related to payroll * Other duties as assigned The successful candidate must demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information; attention to detail; commitment to handling questions and concerns with speed, accuracy, and professionalism; and sound judgment and discretion in referring inquiries to other HR staff members or units. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
