Job Duties:

• Collaborate with a team of developers, test engineers, cybersecurity experts, and system administrators.
• Lead a small team of infrastructure engineers.
• Integrate AI training systems and tools onto new hardware platforms.
• Manage software updates and configurations across various isolated environments.
• Ensure the smooth operation of AI training systems and tools.
• Work with autonomy teams to define and meet requirements.
• Address complex and critical issues.

• Advanced experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration, Azure, and Active Directory.
• Advanced experience with at least one virtualization platform (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Advanced experience with at least one storage operating system (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
• Proven experience with deploying and maintaining workloads in public cloud (Azure).
• Experience with Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Understanding of the OSI model and network communication layers.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
• Typically requires 10+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7+ years with a Master's degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud computing solutions and architecture, focusing on Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience supporting C++ or Python-based applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, particularly in networking and designing networked applications.
• Experience leading and mentoring a small team.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record of hard work, reliability, high standards, and kindness.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging distributed systems.
• Experience developing and deploying automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Availability to support onsite in Crystal City and the surrounding NOVA area.
• Experience with authentication and authorization frameworks and protocols is preferred.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Compliance (preferred).
• Experience supporting Golang-based applications (preferred).
