Description This is a benefited, full time position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located in La Jolla at the Anderson Medical Pavilion or the Scripps Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Center. Your job duties: Predominantly back-office responsibilities but is expected to help with front-office duties on an as-needed basis Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics Qualifications Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or a minimum of two years of experience as a Military Corpsman or Medical Assistant Certification BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: One year of previous MA experience in the given department Job : Clinical Support Primary Location : Central San Diego County-LA JOLLA-SCF-ANDERSON MEDICAL PAVILION Work Locations : SCF-ANDERSON MEDICAL PAVILION 9898 GENESEE AVE LA JOLLA 92037 Organization : Scripps Clinic Job Posting : Mar 10, 2025, 11:19:12 PM Benefit Status : FT - FULL-TIME WITH BENEFITS Minimum Rate (USD) : 24.91 - Maximum Rate (USD) : 31.45 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
