Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Behavioral Health, Supervisor (Remote within Arkansas) to join our growing team in Arkansas.

Job Summary:

  • Oversees clinical staff performing UM Review services for Medicaid Members in accordance with the goals of the Arkansas Department of Human Services Performance-based Contract with Acentra Health. This position plans, organizes, and directs the work activity of the review team, consistent with organizational policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Assists in meeting contract deliverables related to the Review Department within budgetary parameters.

Responsibilities:

  • Assures accuracy and timeliness of all applicable review type cases within contract requirements.
  • Assesses, evaluates and addresses daily workload and queues; adjusts work schedules daily to meet the workload demands of the department.
  • Analyzes productivity of reviewers.
  • Identify clinical staff orientation and continuous learning needs and in collaboration with the Clinical Director and Program Director, develops and implements plans to address those identified learning needs.
  • Performs Annual Performance review of staff this position supervises.
  • In collaboration with Clinical Director, responsible for the quality monitoring activities including identifying areas of improvement and plan implementation of improvement areas including quarterly audits, QIP, and assisting with IRR.
  • Maintains current knowledge base related to review processes and clinical practices related to the review processes; functions as the initial resource to assigned clinical staff regarding all review process questions and/or concerns.
  • Performs all applicable review types as workload indicates.
  • Foster positive and professional relationships and act as liaison with internal and external customers to ensure effective working relationships and team building to facilitate the review process.
  • Attends training and scheduled meetings and for maintenance and use of current/updated information for review.
  • Cross trains to perform duties of other contracts to provide a flexible workforce to meet client/customer needs.
  • The above list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
Work Schedule
  • Scheduled Work Hours: Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central
Location
  • Residency: Must reside in the State of Arkansas
  • Work Environment: Work remotely from the State of Arkansas
Work Arrangement:
  • The selected candidate must have a dedicated, private, and secure workspace at home, free from distractions, to ensure productivity and confidentiality, and with reliable internet service.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active unrestricted Arkansas Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board OR a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychological Examiner (LPE-I) OR Licensed Associate's Counselor (LAC) issued by the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling, per contract requirements.
  • 5+ years of relevant clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • 3+ years of Utilization Management/Utilization Review experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or people management experience (e.g., include coaching, counseling, performance reviews).

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Medical record abstracting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, both in remote and in-person settings.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to plan and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software programs operating in a Windows environment, as well as Internet navigation.
  • Workload management experience.
  • Experience with State Medicaid programs.
