Doc Star & Mailroom Clerk

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for scanning documents into the DocStar archival system, as well as manage all incoming and outgoing mail and packages for the Grand Valley Area Command building of The Salvation Army.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Electronically file documents into DocStar
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Pick-up, deliver and track packages to various internal departments; provide exceptional customer service to internal customers
  • Maintain knowledge of each vendors shipping and receiving practices
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of all mail room supplies and equipment
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality
  • Send out weekly retired Salvation Army officer mailings
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:



  • High school graduate, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience



Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Computer Skills



  • Knowledge of US Postal meter operation (preferred)
  • Ability to learn how to send certified and overnight mail
  • Knowledge of various package shipping needs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Willingness to learn new software as needed.


Certificates and Licenses:



  • Must have a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
