***This position is an Onsite role based out of any of the cities listed above in our Western Region.***

About you
The Regional Research Director | Western Region is instrumental in championing national research initiatives and growing and supporting our local commercial real estate business. As part of the national research team, you will actively set the regional and local research roadmap and foster the cooperation and adherence to those objectives, goals and initiatives. You will build and maintain relationships with managing directors and other key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment of research priorities and initiatives with national and local market business goals. Through local research department oversight and coordination, you will produce leading-edge, thought-provoking research and analysis of market insights and trends for use in the production of market reports, presentations, and research projects within the region. The professional development of all of our researchers is a critical element to our success; as such, you will actively train, develop and coach our research teams. Lastly, you will participate in client presentations and interactions, proposal writing, professional development and networking, public speaking engagements, and vendor relations.

In this role, you will...

  • Be in alignment with national research and regional operation initiatives, the Regional Director of Research sets a strategic direction, priority, and goals for their research teams, ensuring the needs and business objectives of the local offices and brokers within the region are met.

  • Focus on leveraging market intelligence and insights for regional thought leadership content development to support regional and local market client engagement.

  • Leads the development and collaboration of cross-regional and sub-regional reports.

  • Work with Regional Presidents, Service Line Leads, Managing Directors, and Operation Mangers to ensure operational excellence in delivering and executing research programs that meet or exceed the business' and clients' expectations.

  • Ensures the research team is providing timely and reliable statistical information on commercial properties, including, but not limited to, availability and vacancy rates, lease rates, absorption trends, lease and sale comparables, tenant migration, development activity, and economic trends.

  • Facilitates the collection and analysis of regional market data and actively participates in writing regional and national market reports.

  • Creates regional thought leadership pieces and collaborates with other regional cohorts to ideate topics and produce material tailored for a larger audience.

  • Develop a close working relationship with business publications and trade organizations by actively seeking speaking opportunities to amplify the Colliers brand and be recognized as a leading resource for those agencies.

  • Responsible for the ongoing assessment, evaluation, budgeting, and management of existing and prospective research data subscriptions in partnership with regional and national leadership.

  • Participates in regional sales meetings and national service line meetings.

What you'll bring

  • 15+ years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with 8+ years in a research management role.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

  • Strong, demonstrable experience of leadership and management of a large team; able to lead, manage and develop direct reports and their teams to ensure they achieve the highest possible standards of excellence in all their activities.

  • Strong technology awareness and advanced Microsoft applications experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communicator and ability to interface and manage senior stakeholder expectations.

  • Possesses superior writing, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $122,220.00 to $225.000.00 USD

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Bonus

This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.

Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes an employer match. Employees will also receive 10 days of sick leave and a minimum of 15-days vacation annually. Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year. Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and 4 weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) for paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment.Individuals may be eligible for different or additional benefits under applicable state law.
