Title: Business Systems Analyst I
Location: Columbia, SC (Partially Onsite - Hybrid- 3 days onsite) Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension) Job Summary: Duties/About the role: Defines customer needs in technical and business contexts. Ensure the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort. *50% Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document that is understood by the customer and Information Systems. *25% Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems that support the business solution. *15% Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities. *10% Validate the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements. Required Skills and Abilities: * Basic knowledge of standard industry practices. * Able to acquire knowledge of procedures for the supported business unit. * Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to express complex technical and business concepts to management, peers, and the business units. * Good teamwork and interpersonal skills. * Understands how IT affects an organization and is able to link it to business processes. * Good analytical and conceptual skills. * Broad understanding of test plans and test matrices, project plans, and scope and design documents. Day to Day: * We are looking for someone to manage our Enabling Processes, they will serve as both a project lead and an analyst. * They will meet with customers and understand their need and create a project plan and schedule with key players to ensure the project is running smoothly. Work environment * Fast-paced, high demand environment. * Work is frequently performed against mandated deadlines. * Knowledge of when and what to delegate is essential in order to balance multiple high-priority tasks. * Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. Team Info/Team name: * 15 people on the larger team, but they would sit on a team of 5 people. * They will be working with people type data (annual performance reviews, organizational health, etc.). * The culture is a hybrid work environment with time for collaboration as well as individual reflection. Job Requirements: Required Experience: * 2 years of IT business analysis experience. Required Education: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other job related degree Preferred Certification or licenses: * Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), HIPAA, LOMA. Required Software and Tools (Hands on experience required): * MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Outlook, SharePoint Preferred Software and Other Tools: * Visio, MS Project or similar software, data mining using DB2, SQL, and/or other tools. Soft skills: * Communication when issues arise and ability to drive a project from start to finish. Nice to have/Preferred skills: * Canva, MS Planner, Azure |
