Head of Talent Solutions, North America

As the Head of Talent Solutions North America, you will be responsible for running the solution line P&L, inclusive of revenue growth, operating income and margin. Your charge will be to develop best-in-class solutions, drive growth and build capability in line with our Aon United strategy and 3x3 plan to deliver across Human Capital leveraging our industry and customer segmentation strategy. With a strong external orientation, you will bring demonstrated skills serving clients and develop commercially scalable solutions that deliver value, coupled with a strong business and leadership acumen to develop a connected, collaborative and client-focused team. Supported by functional partners you will deliver the key enablers that are foundational to the success of NA Talent: financials and forecasting; people, culture & career paths; target operating model; branding and messaging; and organic and inorganic pipeline.

What the day will look like
  • Flex your leadership skills by refining and amplifying the strategic vision and direction of the Talent Solution Line in North America, within the framing of the overall Aon North America, global Human Capital strategies and the 3x3 plan
  • Apply your strategic perspective to align a consistent set of best-in-class solution and service offerings consistent with region priorities to drive growth, innovation, performance standards and build capabilities
  • Center Talent Solutions as the tip of the spear with clients by delivering through an industry lens, enabling the solution line to drive impact across Human Capital
  • Take ownership of the product management budget and ensure that region developed products are built to be scalable across NA, and globally where relevant
  • Shape and operationalize the operating model across advisory and data to strengthen collaboration, innovation and our go to market approach
  • Partner closely with Aon Business Services (ABS) and the other NA Human Capital businesses to leverage scale, resolve investment priorities and trade-offs, and drive ever-improving client experience while running operating income
  • Lead Solution Line talent, hiring within the NA region framework, set career paths, and develop Solution Line related expertise
  • Own annual and multi-year revenue and contribution margin growth plans that map to (and comprise portions of) the NA growth plan and global Talent Solutions Line plan
  • Collaborate with internal Solution Line teams and third-party partners, where applicable, to ensure clients receive solutions that exceed and meet their needs; proactively build strategic external partnerships and network to this end
  • Keep the pulse on emerging business opportunities to evaluate the potential for new service offerings; bring a NA Talent voice to the global Talent and Human Capital strategies and leadership teams as we iterate our strategy
  • Implement region-specific marketing activities linked to the plan for business messaging on a regional and global level
  • Partner across solution lines and other sales channels to implement strategies to acquire new clients and grow existing client accounts in line with our Aon United strategy
  • Partner with Finance to prepare and deliver management reporting and drive the annual growth planning cycle for NA Talent, demonstrating standard methodology from across the organization
  • Drive accountability within the NA Talent Solutions team by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating measurement against those metrics
  • Build a high performing team to implement end to end sales including outreach, pitching, pricing, negotiation, closing deals and implementation.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Passionate about the value proposition provided by the talent solution line
  • Genuine expertise in the field with the ability to exemplify "the best of Aon" in the solution area with clients, at conferences, in publications, etc
  • Strong experience within consultative sales and possess the ability to prospect and lead senior level relationships
  • Relevant experience leading a regional and complex team, with proficiency in either the advisory (consulting) or analytics (data solutions) domains
  • Deep connections across partners and industry groups in their market area
  • Able to influence and build strong C-level relationships
  • Consistent track record of identifying, attracting and retaining top talent

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for an advanced degree or equivalent experience in business, industrial-organizational psychology, or related field.
  • 15+ years of immersive talent solutions market experience.
  • 10+ years of leadership in a talent consulting, management consulting, executive compensation or analytics roles with experience selling to employers.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $350,000 to $400,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
