As a Lead Architect, you will serve as the technical domain expert on modern application and data technologies to support our corporate capabilities, including Finance, HR, Legal and Compliance, Global Risk Management, Office Service, Global Communication, and IT. You will be part of the GTSA (Global Technology Strategy and Architecture) team, working with our business partners and the rest of IT to drive the transformation and innovation needed to accomplish CG's long-term strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Steer strategic technology direction, define, and communicate target state architecture and roadmaps for the corporate technology portfolios.
  • Manage and own the solution blueprints for the corporate technology portfolios.
  • Provide expertise and architecture guidance to development teams, leveraging an in-depth understanding of our ecosystem and industry trends.
  • Engage with leadership to understand business strategy, develop architectural points of view or solution options, and drive or influence critical decisions.
  • Ensure application teams develop solutions consistent with architectural principles, technology standards, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process rationalization, automation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Mentor, coach, motivate, and influence embedded architects and other solution engineers to strengthen our bench and increase our fungibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in defining, designing, and delivering enterprise-scale technology and data strategies and business solutions by applying sound architecture principles, approaches, and patterns.
  • Proven experience in leading technology/digital transformation from legacy architecture to modern architecture, including custom development and large vendor solution implementations.
  • Experience implementing highly scalable global solutions using native cloud technologies.
  • Current knowledge and application of modern application, data, and integration architectures, including domain-driven design, event-driven, microservice, serverless, service-based/APIs, data modeling, data lake, data Lakehouse, data mesh, etc.
  • Proactive research, assessment, and recommendation of new and emerging trends, including appropriate implementation patterns and standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate and present compelling content to guide strategic decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate, partner with, and effectively influence architects and engineers to adopt/adhere to enterprise standards and deliver well-architected data-centric solutions.
  • Experience with SAP, Workday, Dayforce, ServiceNow, or other large vendor products in managing corporate capabilities is a plus.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect, TOGAF 9 Certified is a plus.
  • Experience in the financial services industry/asset management space is a plus.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $194,862-$311,779

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
