Description
AURIA is actively seeking a Systems Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO, to support the development of the Wideband Global Satellite Communications (SATCOM) (WGS) F11 Global SATCOM Configuration Control Element (GSCCE). The ideal candidate will perform engineering design, development, implementation, and analysis at an expert level to deliver a next-generation command and control (C2) system.
- Primary Location: BMOSC, 440 Wooten Rd, Colorado Springs 80916
- Work Model: Onsite (In-Office 4/5 Days a Week)
- Travel: <10%
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and analyzing technical products within the GSCCE system.
- Perform engineering design evaluations at an expert level, resolve highly complex technical issues, conduct advanced research, recommend alterations to the design of products, and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish program goals
- Regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders, the assigned development teams, and other product teams is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
- Familiarization with DOD systems and subsystems (e.g., C2ISR platforms, SATCOM, data links)
- Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting systems engineering tasks for a complex system
- Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds, and implement and document corrective actions across multiple systems and components
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage numerous demonstration events at the same time
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (required U.S. Citizenship)
- Knowledge base of Wideband SATCOM command and control (C2) systems
- Experience with SATCOM systems, products, and interfaces
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence, is highly desirable
- Experience with SATCOM systems, products, and interfaces
- Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with software engineering
Salary Range:$95,000 - $148,000
- Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years relevant experience, Master's degree and four or more years relevant experience
- Engineer Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience, Master's with nine or more years of experience
