As one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations in the world, we have four Early Phase Clinical Research Units in the UK and US.

We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician II, to assist the overall pharmacy operations with respect to inventory, use, supply, storage, and disposal of investigational drug products, providing practical support to the Pharmacy Dept.

This is a full-time, office-based position in Daytona Beach, FL.

If you join us, you will work with some of the worlds leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies in a vital stage of clinical development: establishing the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of a new drug.

Many Technicians are drawn to their profession because of its direct impact on patient care. If this is your case, you will not miss that working in Phase 1 trials. Whilst allowing you to have a close face-to-face relationship with participants, and as you continue to practice your clinical skills and knowledge, youll be involved with the latest medical technologies and treatments, witnessing their development firsthand. When the drug you worked with gets approved, you know youll touch many patients lives around the world.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will utilize your skills, knowledge, and expertise to provide a high standard of care and support in a clinical setting.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Maintain contact with any other organization that operates a supply function to pharmacy.

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate regulations and GMP/GCP requirements.

  • Have an understanding of all allocated protocols regarding API/IMP handling.

  • Attend study meetings as appropriate.

  • Assist the Pharmacist/Study Lead with Sponsor interaction.

  • Assist with training of entry Pharmacy Technician.

  • May be cross trained in study operations tasks.

  • May assist with trend reports.

  • Assist with receipt, storage, packaging, disposition, and retention of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs).

  • Assist with maintenance and control of complete records with respect to API/IMP.

  • Assist with dose preparation as appropriate.

  • Assist with manufacturing/assembly/dispensing instructions and the generation of labels.

  • Ensure the continued supply of any stock items.

  • Maintain an appropriate level of cleanliness and organization to the pharmacy.

  • All other duties as needed or assigned.

YOU NEED TO BRING...

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification, per applicable state requirements or LVN/LPN License.

  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

  • 2-3 yrs. pharmaceutical experience.

  • Individuals with direct hospital or long-term care pharmacy technician experience and sterile preparation strongly preferred.
