Description: NSI requires an Electronic Warfare EW and Countermeasures (CM) Engineer with skills and expertise in avionics engineering to develop creative solutions that directly impact the warfighter to support the F-35 team. As an EW systems engineer on our F-35 team, you'll provide expertise in evaluating new technologies, performing risk assessments, and improving the design of aerospace systems. You'll orchestrate the development of EW systems through the full life cycle, from requirements determination through operations. Your experience in technology planning and DoD acquisition processes are key and make you an integral part of delivering a client-focused solution.

In this role, you'll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading-edge aerospace technology for the F-35. You'll work with a community of engineers across the firm and collaborate with clients to deliver world-class solutions for F-35 weapon systems and evaluate new technologies for application in improving designs. Your engineering knowledge will help the Department of Defense expand and improve their capabilities to protect national security and the warfighter.

Location: Dayton, OH/Wright Patterson AFB

Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or systems engineering.

Experience: At least 9 (nine) years of experience in a lead electronic warfare engineering or related technical position. 3 (three) of those years in support of a 4th or 5th Generation U.S. strike/fighter aircraft. Experience with DoD acquisition processes, system engineering practices, and technical oversight. Demonstrated ability to independently think, plan and work at both a tactical and strategic level. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Level I Certified Acquisition Professional in Engineering
  • Extensive Electronic Warfare and countermeasures acquisition experience
  • Test and Evaluation of EW systems
  • Knowledge of Special Access Programs


Security Clearance: Top Secret clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
