ABOUT THE JOB

This position will support our contract at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma within Tepa Companies and will conduct design development and contract document work sessions in the Sustainment, Restoration & Moderation (SRM) and Consolidated Sustainment Activity Group (CSAG) sections of the 72nd Civil Engineer Directorate.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Establish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Independently coordinate work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a project
  • Coordinates workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule
  • Reviews architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
  • Perform QA/QC and technical views
  • Writes/edits architectural specifications, and works directly with owner and owners' legal staff to establish and document the legal parameters of the construction contract
  • Coordinates and assists, with affected disciplines, with any addendum, RFIs, CPRs and change orders and is responsible to incorporate agreed upon changes into the project documents
  • Provides, on an as needed basis, construction contract administration
  • May direct the activities of other architectural professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Professional Degree in Architecture required
  • Must be a Registered Architect
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience required
  • Department of Defense operations familiarity a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point).
  • Self-motivated individual with strong, organizational, problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous Air Force or other DOD design experience a plus
