JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Position Announcement:
Penn State University at the University Park campus is looking for a talented ACUHO-I intern to join our summer 2025 Residence Life team. This individual should be enrolled in a graduate preparation program currently. They should also demonstrate maturity, flexibility, and interest ofresidence lifeand student affairs. While start and end dates are flexible, the intern should be available to begin around May 19, 2025, and end employment around August 8, 2025.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will report directly to an Assistant Director of Residence Life and work closely with campus partners, Residence Life Coordinators, the Associate Director, and student leaders, including Resident Assistants. The ACUHO-I Intern may have responsibilities in supervision, student/student leader development, community engagement, and student accountability. The successful candidate may also assist in larger department projects, as needed.
Supervision & Student Leader Development: the ACUHO-I Intern will facilitate weekly one on ones, staff meetings, coaching resident assistants for successful position performance, develop training program, and participate in educational training presentations.
Community Engagement: the ACUHO-I Intern will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging community programs that align with our residential curriculum approach. Programs will include dynamic large-scale events to small community connection events. The ACUHO-I Intern will also create and disseminate educational marketing materials through digital and print means on a weekly basis.
Student Accountability: the ACUHO-I Intern will take part in the Office of Student Accountability and Conflict Response through student reflective and restorative conversations and proactive community education.
Remuneration:
Penn State University will provide the ACUHO-I intern $19.00 per hour for 40 hours per week. We will also provide a single room, suite, or apartment with a staff meal plan, with option for parking pass for purchase.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
