GENERAL FUNCTION:

Evaluate, design, implement and automate logging and monitoring solutions to build and progress technology strategies for the entire technology organization. The incumbent will be the engineer with primary responsibility for architecting & automating Dynatrace & Splunk implementations. Will have responsibility to work with vendor to understand upcoming changes, how the software fits into the technology roadmap and design plans to ensure business continuity and effectiveness. Understands the banks systems, how they are configured, how we need to reconfigure to meet the changes. Work closely with the product owner to ensure user stories are defined appropriately to develop effective technology solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert at the bank for Observability platforms.
• Design, implement and automate the next generation of Observability with Splunk & Dynatrace platforms for supporting critical business functions across the organization.
• Stay abreast of upcoming changes and enhancements in Dynatrace & Splunk and how those changes will impact the organization.
• Work across the organization to design solutions to incorporate changes.Effectively work across the organization to ensure effective implementation.
• Understand the business technology roadmap and make recommendations on continued utilization or elimination of current third-party software solutions.
• Work closely with product owner to ensure that user stories have enough specificity and clarity for the engineers to effectively meet customer needs.
• Implement and maintain new features and capabilities while continuously improving the quality of our technical products and services.
• Follow industry and organizational best practices and standards and participate in company communities of practice to continuously refine and communicate them. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
• Keep up with technology trends and innovations in your field(s) of practice.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for your team's products and services.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training for new or less experienced team members.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 7+ years of Splunk & Dynatrace platform engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with Java (Spring Framework/Boot), Basic Scripting (Bash/PowerShell) & Python, AWS Cloud platform (VPC, EC2, EventBridge,Lambda, Secrets Manager).
• Strong experience with managing technology such as Dynatrace | ActiveGates | OneAgents | Operator.
• Strong experience with managing technology such as Splunk Cloud | Enterprise | Universal Forwarder | Edge Processor | syslog-ng.
• Strong experience with Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), DevOps and Automation tools such as GitHub, Jenkins and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a highly collaborative Agile/SAFe environment.
• Solid understanding and significant experience with modern software development practices, tools, and/or hardware technologies.
• Solid understanding of IT security best practices.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex technical solutions.
