What You Will Do:
Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Vice President & Texas Area Leader to join our Transportation Practice in San Antonio, Austin, Houston or Dallas-Fort Worth Texas! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance in one of our Texas offices.

What you'll be challenged to do:
The Texas Area Transportation Leader is responsible for leading and managing the Texas Transportation Practice to achieve strategic and operational goals. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader in the AEC industry with a strong ability to drive business growth, ensure operational excellence, and cultivate meaningful client relationships. The primary responsibilities include Leadership, Business Development, Client Relations, Operations, and Talent Management.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Leadership
* Build and lead high-performing, collaborative teams aligned with corporate objectives.
* Act as the primary representative of the transportation practice within the region, fostering stakeholder engagement and demonstrating commitment to the company's mission.
* Establish a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and develops top talent while promoting professional growth and positive morale.
* Oversee performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support career development for team members within the region. Business Development * Develop and implement growth strategies to expand market presence and drive revenue.
* Build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders, leveraging local market knowledge to identify new opportunities.
* Lead strategic business development initiatives, including outreach, client engagement, and proposal strategies.
* Actively participate in industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and partnerships. Collaborate with senior leadership and market sector leaders to align area business development efforts with overall corporate strategy.
Client Relations
* Represent the firm at client meetings, industry conferences, and networking events.
* Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and delivering high-quality, tailored solutions.
Operations
* Ensure operational excellence by overseeing budget development, financial performance, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
* Monitor and manage project performance to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
* Implement and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency to meet business objectives. What you will bring to our firm:
* Bachelor's degree in civil, structural engineering, business, or a related field.
* Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in transportation infrastructure design in the AEC industry
* Demonstrated track record of successful leadership and business development.
* Project/Program experience with Texas transportation clients to include TxDOT
* Strong client connections and relationship-building abilities.
What we prefer you bring:
* Professional Engineering (PE) license
* Master's Degree in Business or Engineering Management
Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $190,000 - $280,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
