Enterprise Valuation Analyst

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

Utilizing discounted cash flow and relative valuation methods, the Enterprise Valuation Analyst derives values for companies. It analyzes the company's products/services, financial statements, industry information and other variables. The EEA utilizes public and private sources of data, client financial data and models to provide underwriters and bankers with an assessment of value of the enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is expected to perform the specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities as outlined below:

  • Assists in the preparation of enterprise valuations for the commercial loan portfolio across various industries for regulatory, risk management and financial reporting purposes.

  • Creates and utilizes analytical financial models, including financial projections, discounted cash flow analysis, leveraged buyout analysis, valuation analysis, and financial analysis of historical and projected cash flows.

  • Review and evaluate financial projections to determine if the assumptions are reasonable and supportable.

  • Conduct research on current and prospective clients utilizing comparable companies and transactional information.

  • Assemble and maintain Middle Market and Corporate Banking propriety and non-proprietary data resources, to include detailed industry information.

  • Draft valuation reports detailing key assumptions.

  • Work with Risk, Credit Risk Review Model Management, Internal Audit as needed

  • All other tasks, responsibilities or duties, as directed by management

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in enterprise valuation

  • Experience with discounted cash flow models

  • Experience in data analytics

  • Level 1 of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam is a plus

  • Proficient in Excel

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Required annual compliance training; New Employee Orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. This position may require bending and reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
