North State Bank has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Systems Specialist in the Mortgage Department. The Mortgage Systems Specialist assists Mortgage Systems Administrator in maintaining, managing and implementing the security, integrity, efficiency and functionality of all mortgage systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides mortgage systems support and other MS Office and Windows support to Mortgage team as needed.
- Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voicemail, email and in-person requests for assistance from the mortgage team, other bank departments, and vendor partners
- Works with the Mortgage Systems Administrator in maintaining and updating mortgage systems; controlling access and levels of access [rights and permissions]; setting up new hires/users in all systems; deactivating terminated employees
- Member of project team for new mortgage systems.
- Maintains mortgage intranet site using WordPress, creating and centralizing mortgage system processes and procedures.
- Monitors mortgage pipeline daily to identify eligible eClosing loans. Works with secondary team, closers, MLOs, and attorneys to ensure process runs smoothly. Educates mortgage team about eClosing process.
- Completes new investor applications with secondary team. Main point of contact for eMortgage testing with new investors. Evaluates and onboards attorney partners who wish to perform eClosings.
- Trains users on software, creates job aids for improving end user use of software. Creates job aids for specific job functions and maintains them on the mortgage intranet site.
- Creates packages for audits, reviews, exams, etc.
- Prepares quarterly mortgage HMDA data.
- Works on projects and tasks assigned by Mortgage Systems Administrator to further enhance efficiency.
Qualifications (Includes education, certifications, experience, etc.):
- Associates degree in an Information Technology or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of desktop support experience in corporate environment.
- Three to five years of mortgage operations experience preferred.
- Familiarity with software, such as Microsoft Office, and Windows operating systems.
- Strong Excel experience.
- Previous technical troubleshooting experience with hardware such as desktops, laptops and printers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Strong internal customer service orientation within a team environment.
- Ability to learn new information technology systems.
- Ability to multi-task and change priorities quickly.
