Controllers manage the firm's financial and regulatory obligations in accordance with rules and regulations governing worldwide financial markets. We are a global team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the firm's financial and regulatory information by complying with the rules and regulations governing financial markets worldwide. As well as managing both internal and external financial reporting, our expertise plays a key role in the firm's business planning decisions around allocation of scarce financial resources such as capital and balance sheet. We partner with the business in providing advice on accounting, valuation, capital, liquidity, reputational risk and other regulatory considerations when executing business with our clients

Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness, and integrity to our business. Regulatory Position Reporting team within Controllers Operations has responsibility for non-financial position reporting to key American, European, and Asian exchanges and regulators. Our team plays an integral role in ensuring that the firm meets its regulatory reporting obligations globally. The team consists of talented and highly motivated individuals who are extensively involved in the processing of the mandated reports, as well as the implementation of effective risk management tools, control processes, efficiency initiatives, business continuity, change management, and other department initiatives.

We're looking for a professional individual who wants to apply their financial market knowledge and develop their understanding of regulatory reform at the heart of the financial markets. With the continued high rate of change in the regulatory reporting space, Regulatory Position Reporting Operations professionals have the platform to significantly impact their environment and the wider business. Our team is seeking a professional who will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to improve the firm's compliance rates across obligations.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Execute key risk and control processes to ensure compliance with non-financial regulatory reporting obligations
  • Develop extensive subject matter expertise in major US regulations (e.g. LOPR, 13G, 13F etc)
  • Consult on business and functional projects to facilitate compliant commercial activity
  • Own client relationships with a focus on excellent client regulatory service
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders in the business, Engineering, Compliance and Legal to support reporting functions
  • Delve into complex system infrastructure to understand impact of data flows and booking models on reporting quality
  • Leverage data analytical and automation tools to detect anomalies in reporting data and improve reporting processes
  • Design and lead the implementation of solutions to deliver best-in-class system and control frameworks quality


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience in financial services
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Must have strong communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas, provide timely escalation
  • Good interpersonal skills to build strong relationship with key stakeholders within and outside of Operations
  • Self-motivated team player who has strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities within deadlines
  • Interest in financial markets regulatory landscape and associated processes
  • Basic understanding of financial, operational, reputational risk
  • Basic knowledge of financial products, e.g. equities, fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, OTC derivatives is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of project management and business analysis is an advantage
  • Interest in data analysis, process automation, big data or non-technical process efficiencies is an advantage
