About the role:

The position will report to VP, Corporate Development and will serve as a key member of our Corporate Development Team, which is responsible for global mergers and acquisitions on behalf of the company. The primary purpose of the position is to identify, evaluate, and execute potential business opportunities such as mergers, acquisitions, investments, and partnerships. It will include reviewing and/or developing financial models to evaluate projects. The position will work closely with the corporate areas (strategy, financial planning & analysis, financial accounting, tax, treasury) and liaison with the commercial and operations groups as needed.

Key activities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Manage and lead discussions with management and executive leadership on assigned project topics
• Lead related 3rd party discussions/ negotiations including with global organizations
• Lead project teams (consisting of multi-disciplinary individuals) aimed at the assessment and development of new and existing opportunities for Alcoa Corporation
• Perform special project work as required to address a myriad of complex, non-standard analysis to support executive decisions, often times with little direction
• Mentor and develop Corporate Development analysts by providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and career growth within the organization

What you can bring to this role:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance and/or related field
• 10+ years overall with at least 5 years doing evaluation work and leading project teams
• Extensive experience on various valuation methodologies
• Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Comfortable analyzing complex problems and working on ambiguous projects
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Strong organization and documentation skills
• MBA or Master's degree preferred
• Experience in managing and leading strategic projects preferred
