Responsibilities Team Management: Oversee the overall management of the culinary staff, including onboarding, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying additional training needs to ensure a high-performing team. Food Preparation Oversight: Control and direct the food preparation process, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Client Satisfaction: Strive for excellence in culinary offerings, as evidenced by positive client and family satisfaction scores. Your leadership will directly impact the dining experience of our clients. Budget and Purchasing: Manage culinary purchasing and budget, ensuring cost-effective practices while maintaining quality ingredients. Sanitation and Safety: Monitor sanitation practices in the kitchen and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards, including State Health and Hygiene Requirements. Food Hygiene Practices: Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene practices to ensure the safety and well-being of all clients and staff. Collaboration with Chefs: Work closely with chefs of all levels, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and teamwork. Problem Resolution: Ensure quick resolution of any kitchen issues to maintain a smooth-running operation. Process Optimization: Streamline kitchen processes to enhance service efficiency and productivity, ensuring that meals are delivered promptly and effectively. Menu Development: Collaborate with the Culinary Services Director to create diverse, healthy, nutritious, and organic menus, potentially working alongside a registered dietitian to meet the dietary needs of our clients. Staff Scheduling: Create and maintain schedules for all culinary staff, ensuring adequate coverage and support for kitchen operations. Leadership Participation: Attend leadership team meetings to contribute to the overall strategic direction of culinary services. Salary Range for this position is $32.23 - $42.00/ hour based on education and experience.
