The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, generators, and sensors supporting SKSG on Tower Systems Sustainment Activities and Deployments. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), Federal regulations and OSHA safety standards. May build or install transformers, service panel boxes, or electrical control systems, solar arrays, battery banks, and propane/diesel generators. The Electrician will possess previous work experience (college degree or trade school), certifications and licenses required by the State where work is to be performed. Being able to work in various working condition is a must. The Electrician may spend their time working inside buildings under construction or renovation or outdoors on power, towers up to 500' in height, broadcast, surveillance and telecommunications systems. This work spans field services in all weather conditions day or night with occasional assignments to the warehouse or other duties.
Electrical
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work from schematics, blueprints or technical diagrams.
- Build electrical components, such as power trays, junction boxes, interfaces, and circuits to required specifications.
- Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing tools and strategies
- Follow state and local building codes/regulations based on the National Electric Code.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to identify the cause and to correct the problem.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on tower, power, communications, and sensor systems, including generator maintenance.

Driving
- Drive vehicle to worksites in a safe manner
- Load material or equipment for transport from the shop to the jobsite and secure as appropriate
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Operate all company vehicles in accordance with local laws/regulations in a safe and courteous manner
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and immediately report any problems or damage, or maintenance issues to your manager or the fleet manager
- Keep assigned vehicles clean and orderly
- Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules
- Complete a daily electronic log and submit reports of mileage/hours

Safety
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others
- Cooperate with safety personnel, supervisors, and managers to ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company's Safety Policies.
- Working environments often involve live electrical wires, so they can be quite dangerous if the proper precautions aren't taken

Reporting
- Perform timecard updates daily and sign timecards weekly to support reporting and payroll activities
- Perform job related reporting of work tickets, outages, troubleshooting processes, work completion, and reporting.
- Ensure all inventory documentation is completed for property transfers.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork and documentation in accordance with the project, requisite contract, ITL, SKSG, and S&K corporate policies

- Participate as a vital crew member and contribute towards the success of the project and the organization
- Promote a team approach and maintain communications with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas
- Collaborate with other company personnel to meet organizational deadlines and objectives
- Assist Field Support Representatives on his/her team when tasked

Education |
- High school diploma/GED (College Degree preferred)
|
Experience |
- 3 years in electrical field
|
Licenses/ Certification/ Registration |
- Current driver's license required (Commercial driver's license preferred)
- Proof of U.S. citizenship
- Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card, if no CDL, due to gross weight on vehicles (CDL is preferred)
- Must be able to complete and maintain OSHA-10, authorized tower climbing and rescue, CPR, AED, RF, basic principles of rigging, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hiring
- After one year, must have completed manlift/forklift operator's license/certification and competent tower climbing and
- State approved licenses and certifications for applicable installations.

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities |
- Understand and use non-verbal commands for heavy equipment operation
- Experience using MS Word, Excel, Outlook (MS Project preferred)
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, DOT medical screening, poster offer background check and drug screening.
- Work schedule will require open availability including weekends, holidays and overnights as determined by the needs of the business; must be flexible
