JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Pennsylvania State University, a world-renowned multi-campus research university, seeks a dynamic and experienced leader for the Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Research role. This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic leadership in a critical area that directly supports the University's mission by advancing data-informed decision-making and institutional excellence. The Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Research will oversee institutional reporting, advanced analytics, and business intelligence across Penn State's multi-campus University. As a key member of the University's analytics community, this position ensures that high-quality data, strategic insights, and actionable analytics back Penn State's decision-making. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader passionate about fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in institutional research and analysis. Reporting directly to the Vice Provost for Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research, the Assistant Vice Provost will lead a team of 15 highly skilled professionals, including directors overseeing Institutional Reporting, Data Science and Analytics, and Data Modeling. The role requires developing and implementing strategies that drive the University's efforts in data management and analytics, ensuring that accurate, timely, and meaningful insights are available to senior leadership and external stakeholders. The Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Research will also work closely with senior leaders in the Office of Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research (OPAIR), serving as a member of the OPAIR Senior Leadership Team. This role is critical in shaping and influencing the strategic direction of institutional research at Penn State, ensuring that data analytics are aligned with the University's overall goals and priorities.
