The Graduate School of Education and Human Development (
GSEHD) at the George Washington University (GW) offers certificate, masters, and doctoral degrees in a range of academic programs for general and special education teacher preparation, curriculum development, educational administration, counseling, and human and organizational learning. Our students emerge from our programs enriched in theory and practice and become agents of change across the learning lifespan.
We are seeking a motivated individual to temporarily join our Recruitment and Admissions team. This is a full-time position for May 15 - September 2, 2025. It's an important role for maintaining the prospective student recruitment efforts and enrollment in
GSEHD programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicate with applicants regarding GSEHD's graduate programs, the admission process, tuition support programs, and the status of their applications.
- Support recruitment activities and initiatives, including plan, execute, and represent the university both on campus and off campus at events via information sessions, interviews, college fairs, open houses, and department events, and coordinate special programs/projects in support of admissions efforts.
- Analyze recruitment data.
- Collaborate with GSEHD faculty and staff to understand program curriculum and content that is essential to successful strategic support and development of prospective student interest.
May perform other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning additional responsibilities that are logically related to the position.
This is a hybrid position with some days in-person on our main Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC campus and some days remote. May require participation at some in-person special events.
The position is expected to begin on or around May 15 and end on or around September 2. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
