Responsibilities The Cultural Support Liaison's role is to facilitate and provide communication between Native American patients, their families (extended), and PrairieCare, as well as provide community outreach. This role is designed to encourage and empower our Native American youth and families to be active participants in their care and treatment. The role will also provide education to staff, patients, and their families with a cultural perspective on mental health care. The role of Spiritual Cultural Support Liaison is to also bridge the gap between mental health care providers and the patients they serve with the intent to ease Indigenous Health Disparities within the treatment of mental health and hospitalization. The Liaison is located within the hospital (75% of the time) and in the community (25% of the time). This may involve the integration of spiritual leaders and elders who are seen as role models and recognized by one's community. The ideal candidate for the position of Spiritual Cultural Support Liaison is a credible role model in the Native American community and has good relationships with key partners and stakeholders including community agencies and tribal entities. Pay range for this position is $20.00 to $26.00 depending on education and experience. We are committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation. An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions.
