What You Will Do: Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a dedicated and experienced Stormwater Engineer to join our Northeast Roadway Water Resources Group. The preferred location for this role would be in our NYC office at 1 Penn Plaza, but alternate office locations in East Brunswick, NJ, Marlton, NJ, West Hartford, CT, or Boston, MA would be possible. What you'll be challenged to do: In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to highway and rail clients throughout the tri-state area and New England. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Design highway drainage systems and Green Infrastructure/stormwater management facilities. Perform hydrologic watershed modeling. Develop hydraulic models for bridge and culvert replacements. Conduct bridge scour analyses and design scour countermeasures. Develop construction plans. Prepare environmental permit applications. Education \| Experience: What you will bring to our firm: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineer license in NY, NJ, CT and/or MA or the ability to obtain with reciprocity. 5 to 10 years of experience in stormwater engineering for roadway and/or rail projects preferred. Proficiency in MicroStation, StormCAD, PondPack, HEC-RAS, Excel, Word. Direct experience completing projects with public sector/municipal agencies in Greater New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Massachusetts. Experience securing permits from environmental agencies authorizing floodplain impacts, wetland impacts, and erosion & sediment control designs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Compensation: The range for this position is salary range is $90,000 - $125,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
