Description
UDR, Inc. is now hiring an IT Software Quality Assurance Analyst II to join our team. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for the testing phase of the software development process, to ensure final products meet the expectations per requirements, quality standards, and company procedures. Duties include identifying whether products are functional, reliable, and meet the end user's expectations. Work collaboratively with business analysts, product owners, project managers, and outside vendors (when needed) to understand the software feature and how it relates to the Company's business problems and opportunities. With this context in mind, the IT Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will both plan and execute test cases to ensure the software achieves the desired goals, both immediate and strategic. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Manager - IT Software Product Owners SUPERVISION EXERCISED: N/A ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Level I: 1. Interface with business analysts, product owners or stakeholders to understand the product feature and the individual stories/requirements involved. 2. Develop procedures and test software feature. Provide a specification for any data required to create necessary scenarios. 3. Record the outcomes of tests in Zephyr and include relevant evidence to support the story or requirement. 4. Create software bugs when necessary. Identify and develop the steps, expected behavior, observed behavior and any supporting documentation. 5. Prepare and present findings and recommendations to project team(s) (including developers, scrum masters and/or project managers), both in summary and detailed forms (depending on the needed level of detail). 6. Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills with good attention to detail. 7. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the project team(s), utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills. 8. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary. Level II: (Provides all functions noted above, plus the following): 1. Design and execute SQL queries to validate backend data integrity and consistency. 2. Perform API testing using tools like Postman or similar tools to verify backend services and integrations. 3. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for backend validation. 4. Demonstrate that more complex tasks have been mastered and that there is less need for direction from senior team members and management. 5. Participate in grooming ceremonies, giving feedback on requirements and acceptance criteria. 6. Designing test plans, anticipating potential scenarios, and developing effective strategies for new feature implementations. 7. Design, develop, and implement test strategies using UiPath to optimize software testing processes. 8. Identify roadblocks, issues, or challenges that arise during the project, and work with the project team to remediate and resolve those issues and challenges. 9. Identify key testing scenarios and automation candidates that contribute to regression test planning and successful software releases. 10. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires mobility sufficient to travel. Some bending, stooping, and stretching. Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Extensive data input and required ability to sit for long periods of time. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Level I: 1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Technology Management, Business Administration, or related discipline is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 2. Minimum of one year of related experience is required. 3. Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments is preferred. 4. Excellent experience with MS Office skills, especially Excel. 5. Fundamental understanding of SQL databases. 6. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license unless otherwise noted. Level II: 1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Technology Management, Business Administration, or related discipline is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 2. Minimum of three years of related experience is required. 3. Prior experience within the real estate or hospitality industry is preferred, or equivalent combination of experience within industry and emerging technologies. 4. Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments is required. 5. Provides guidance and support to other team members. 6. Excellent experience with MS Office skills, especially Excel. 7. Fundamental understanding of SQL databases and API development. 8. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license unless otherwise noted. Benefits Offered:
