Work Location Geyserville Position Purpose The Events Staff is part of a dynamic team that executes private, internal and park events, ranging from intimate wine and appetizer receptions to larger hospitality park functions. This role provides excellent food and beverage service to all guests and strives to maintain a clean, friendly environment for employees and guests to enjoy. Functional Responsibility Essential Duties Sets-up and breaks down events, including movement of banquet tables, chairs, umbrellas and event equipment to several different event locations across property Greets guests warmly and serve guests with a high level of attentiveness; strives to exceed goals and expectations Provides exemplary guest experience through proper service etiquette and anticipating the needs of guests Performs basic cleaning tasks, such as doing dishes, sweeping, mopping, as needed or directed by management to maintain a clean work environment and uphold all Health and Safety Regulations Clearly communicates and cooperates in teamwork, while maintaining the company's standard for excellence Pro-actively and persistently completes existing tasks and pursues new assignments May be asked to be a "team lead" for specific duties or projects during the course of an event Other duties may be assigned Non-Essential Duties Other duties may be assigned Minimum Requirements Education and Experience High School diploma, GED equivalent, or 6 months of prior experience and/or training Certificates and Licenses TIPS certified or certification within 90 days of employment CA Food Handlers Certification required prior to first day of employment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Ability to clearly communicate in English Knowledge of food and wine Comparable banquet service background and experience Working Conditions General winery environment with no travel Indoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations Exposure to weather-related temperature & humidity extremes Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment Work Standards Acts in a manner reflective of the Company culture of High Moral Standards, Innovation and Continuous Evolution, Trust in Team, Continuous Improvement, and Sustainable Relationships Communicates, interacts, and works effectively with others; receptive to feedback and coaching; voices concerns in a constructive manner Demonstrates commitment to safety first; communicates safety concerns; promotes a safe work environment based on established safety standards and training Follows all Company policies and procedures Additional Comments Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time. California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Non-Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $25.70. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
